About Me.
This was set up as a default start up page in Squarespace. Seems like a good place to start now that I have my first blog entry written and available.
I work - a lot. I have two time consuming jobs that I love and can’t give up.
I am the Technology Coordinator at Highland Catholic School in St. Paul, MN. While I’m hired to work at this K-8 school three days a week, I rarely limit myself to that amount of time. What do I do? I teach, manage the technology (hardware, software, servers, wired and wireless networks, etc.), do professional development, handle the student information system, and more. How do I do it? I rely on greatness: great principal, great teachers, great students, and most importantly a great teaching partner (you rock, Katie!).
I also coordinate the Teaching and Technology Certificate and Keyboarding for Computer Applications License K-8 at Hamline University’s Graduate School of Education. The oldest university in Minnesota is an outstanding place to develop cutting edge teaching skills. Two days a week I’m there organizing, writing, advising, recruiting, and more. On top of that, I teach several of the courses in the program, during evenings, weekends, and online. I love having the opportunity to working with kindergarteners in the morning and graduate students in the evening. What a life!
I do have a wonderful family to go home to who love and support me, even when I work too much.
Spare time? Well, apparently I’m going to be doing some blogging and web site development! I also love to read, go for walks, and hopefully ride the new bike I want to buy this weekend.
